Student Scholarship Award

In 2005 DTM, created the Latino Trendsetter Student Scholarship Program to help students stay in school and provide financial support in their academic endeavors.  In partnership with CUNY, DTM presents these scholarships to Hispanic college students who win our annual essay contest on a relevant issue about the U.S. Latino experience. To help fund these, 5% of corporate sponsorships of the event is contributed to the Trendsetter Scholarships.

Essay Contest

Essays are judged in three areas:

1. Content/knowledge of subject matter - how the writer supports his/her position

2. Style and originality

3. Grammar.

How to Enter

• All entrants must currently be enrolled in a community college, university or post-graduate program.
• All entrants must be able to attend the award ceremony in November in New York City.
• Send your name, address, e-mail address and 1000 word essay on a topic relating to the U.S. Latino experience to DTM Magazine, 2009 Latino Trendsetters Awards, 21-21 41^st St, LIC, NY 11101 or to [email protected].
